Intestine Mode

This model shows 4 different sections of the gastrointestinal tract. I like this muscle because you can really see the difference between the circular muscularis and longitudinal musculariis. Furthermore, you can see how the mucosal layers differ. It shows the gastric pits of the stomach, villi of the small intestine, and crypts of the colon. Lastly, it also has the muscularis mucosae which is a thin band of muscle (1 or 2 cell layers only) that seperates the lamina propria from the rest of the submucosal layer. This model has one serrious probem; see if you can spot it. When done with this model, please see the other intestinal model
