Your third lab quiz will be on the axial skeleton. Expect 10 skull questions and 10 questions for the rest. For the different types of vertebrae, you will be expected to know the specific type (atlas, axis, cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum) and the landmarks. Note, not all the numbers are on all the views. The landmark might not be visible or it may not exist. For instance, the atlas lacks a body and it lacks the dens.

Below is the axis (no body) and the atlas (with the dens). Try to identify the landmarks in the word bank. Then mouse over to see if you are right. When done, be sure to do the cervical, the thoracic, and the lumbar pages. Also look at the sacrum.
